Kara is an Evansville native with a passion for finding practical solutions that improve the health of our community. She is a faculty member at the IU School of Medicine in Evansville and serves as the region’s Navigator for the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute. 

Eric Steele

Economic Coach Eric Steele

Eric Steele is the Director of Elevate Ventures, a local venture development organization helping to provide guidance and funding to new innovations in our community. As an veteran entrepreneur with experience from all across the country, he’s excited to bring his start-up expertise to this year’s Challenge. 

Charles Sutton

Charles is library administrator at Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library and an education Doctoral student at USI. He has given talks on how to be a “maker,” and he looks forward to helping people in our community harness their everyday thoughts, actions, and innovations to become more intentional Changemakers. 


Zac Parsons

Zac is originally from Mesa, AZ, but has lived in Evansville since 2009. He is the co-founder of the Honey Moon Coffee Co. and one of the founders of TEDxEvansville. He has taught Social Entrepreneurship at the University of Evansville since 2017, and has consulted with the campus’s Center for Innovation and Change on several projects. He is a self-styled “Chaos Pilot” who uses his Masters in Organizational Psychology to help groups and individuals to navigate change and articulate meaning.

Emily Schuster

A 2020 graduate of the University of Evansville, Emily recently decided to put down roots in Evansville and open an independent digital consulting practice. She seeks to implement comprehensive marketing strategies for her clients with strategic planning and branding, website optimization, digital advertising, and social media management services. Emily holds degrees in Multimedia Communications and Political Science. As a student, she also helped found Embrace Marketing and Communications, delivering strategic marketing services to clients across a broad range of industries.
